We Believe

...in biblical inerrancy.

We believe in the full, plenary inspiration of Scripture regarding every facet of life including salvation, science, and history. This is not to say that the Bible speaks explicitly in matters other than salvation but that the Bible is relevant according to Genesis 1:28 to every realm of life.

...in the historic church creeds of Nicaea, Chalcedon, Ephesus, and Athanasius.

Although not equal in weight and inspiration to the Holy Scriptures, we believe in these creeds insofar as they reflect biblical writings and doctrine.

We respect the writings of the historic church fathers.

Although not equal in weight to biblical books, the writings of the church fathers should be studied because the Holy Spirit has been building His church for the past two thousand years.

We believe in the values of the contemporary Lausanne Covenant. (The Lausanne Covenant is a 1974 Christian religious manifesto promoting active world-wide Christian evangelism. One of the most influential documents in modern Evangelical Christianity, it was written and adopted by 2,300 evangelicals at the International Congress on World Evangelization in Lausanne, Switzerland, from which it takes its name.)

...salvation only comes through faith in Jesus as Lord resulting in regeneration by the Holy Spirit.

Although we respect other religions and believe in freedom of choice regarding religion, we believe that the Christian faith as laid out in the New Testament reveals the only true way of salvation, which is through a person exercising faith in the shed blood of Christ Jesus who vicariously suffered on the cross for the sins of many, who then died, was buried, and rose from the dead three days later as the only Redeemer, Lord, and Savior who reconciled believers back to the Father by the remission of their sins.

We believe those who reject the free gift of eternal life in Christ Jesus will live eternally in a place called Hades, and be eternally separated from the presence of God the Father and His saints.

We have a Trinitarian view of the Godhead.

We affirm the biblical teaching, hidden in the First Testament but revealed in the Second Testament, of the Godhead being made up of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We reject evolution and believe the cosmos was created by God.

Genesis 1:1 and John 1:1-3.

...eternal damnation for those who die without Christ.

John 3:16-19.

...the righteous will reign with Christ forever over the universe and inhabit the New Heaven and New Earth for all eternity.

Revelation 21, 22.

Our Social Values

We believe

...in traditional marriage between one man and one woman.

  • Our organization will resist all legal and ecclesial attempts to legitimize alternative forms of marriage outside of the biblical norm found in Genesis 2 when Adam and Eve, as one man and one woman, became one flesh as husband and wife.

...in the sanctity of life for both the born and the unborn.

...societal justice has to do with providing every person–irrespective of ethnicity and religion–an equal opportunity to create wealth.

...the church should create non-governmental organizations (NGOs) for the purpose of empowering the poor and disenfranchised of society.

...parents are primarily responsible for the education of their children.

...in freedom of speech and religion.

...civic leaders derive their authority from God primarily to protect the unalienable rights endowed to all human beings from their Creator.
